Freelander SRS upgrade

Hi Folks.

Just wondering if it would be possible to install a passenger airbag in my Freelander Xi.? Spoke with LR HQ & Franchised dealer...no joy here..!! Wouldn't commit themselves, 'didn't know' was the response. Seems to me that the SRS install might be standard throughout the Freelander range. Can't imagine LR installing SRS ECU for one format only ie drivers airbag and pre-tensioners and then another for the full monty.

Starting to see a number of SH passenger airbag modules on eBay so I'm tempted. Your opinions would be gratefully received.

Name and shame your dealer, they should tell you that stuff off the cuff.

Personally I prefer to have an airbag free car, the thought of nitro-glycerine and nitro-cellulose inches from my face makes me uneasy

I could scare you with some photo's from a non - airbag vehicle that I was driving 7 years ago - made quite a mess when my head hit the steering wheel!!

Trust me - keep your airbags!!
