Hi all,hoping someone can help with a problem on a 05 td4 we just had a test drive in,we could hear a noise from underneath that sounded like a boiling kettle and like metal grinding,similar to brake pads against discs,but this noise did not go when applying brake pressure and the boiling noise was a constant tone.
Any ideas please, as the car was very good apart from the above,it was a 5dr 2.0 se if this helps.

.......no,def not a whine noise,sounded exact like a boiling kettle on full chat and just like brake pads dragging !
