Hi,
Hopefully by the weekend I will have my first Freelander. I have seen two that I like, both 2.0 Tdi. 53 reg. One is an S the other GS.

Does anybody know the main differences between the two or know of a website that has this information. I have googled it but didnt find much.

The S is black and the GS is a dark blue. I prefer the look of the black one but if the GS is better it could be blue all the way.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Shaun

IIRC standard S has no roof bars, alloy wheels or air con.

Standard GS should have these. The alloys and air con are good selling points. Don't rush into buying without checking all the gadgets work, including the aircon (might just need recharging - £50) and all the electrical buttons and gadggety things.

Cheers

Bringing up an old thread here...
I bought a freelander td4 a few weeks ago, it has a S badge on one side but not the other?
But it also has a CD player, aircon and 17" alloys!
So...is it a specced up S or a GS?
It didn't have roof bars when I bought it but it does now.

What other differences are there between the GS and a S?
I've also fitted. Leather wheel with radio controls and a rear power socket and ash tray, so in theory is in now a GS?!
