Freelander Parcel Shelf 3 door Fittings

How odd, ya can fasten the shelf down but not hold it up ! Ive got a bald spot now from using my head to keep the lid up and allow both hands free LOL I wonder if they stop the thing bouncing up and down if the tops off and the rear windows open ?

So we can fasten it down for when mounting a small brick but nothing to keep it up unless you use your head, or wifes head!?

Might see about adding some longer elastic with a hook and using the rear roof rail or perhaps adding some of them clips to the hardtop, the same ones in the boot we've already seen in other picture.... Thats probably the best way forward.
