Hello from way up north in Norway. I should drive in heavily rain yesterday: The car had been sitting for two days. After starting the engine I put the wipers on, but nothing happened. The wipers were dead in all functions. I checked fuse 1 and 8 - and both were OK.

I then removed the wiper indicator stalk and took it apart, cleaning all contacts - but it did not help; wipers wouldnt start.

So what now?
1: I guess there should be one or more relais, but I don't know where to find them.
2: What should my next step be to solve the problem?

Hi

Somes relays are in the CCU ...

Regards

Can you hear the motor running? It's common for the linkages to fall apart, stopping the wipers from moving.

It's more likely the switch on the column or a fuse/Relay
Ccu is the last/hardest thing to check.
I think it's behind the fuses under the dash but don't quote me.

Sorry Ali, you've stripped and electrically reconfigured 2 x Freelanders and you are not sure where the CCU is ?!?!? Shocked 😲

It is indeed plugged into the back of the inside fuse board. Only remotes and whether it is a 3 door or 5 door is held in CCU not the ecu and security programming for key chip.
