now you know thats not true,p38's are a fantastic vehicle and allways start and can go anywhere.as you well know.

Just an update re the oil restricter on this thread, as fitted to the L Series 2:0 TD. It appears the restricter was fitted as original equipment when supplied by the factory. The dealers where later advised by the same factory, to leave them out when doing anything involving replacing the head gasget, hence on mine, not finding the restricter fitted. Landrover will still supply them, if your prepared to wait long enough.
So, disregard the Haynes manual regarding the oil restricter in the top of the block and dont worry (like wot I did) if you find yours hasn't got one.
