Freelander Fan

hi guys, I’m a new Landrover owner and since I’ve bought it, it has only been giving us trouble . Does anyone have any idea what might cause the fan near the engine to keep on running for hours? The battery got drained and the car could not start and we remover the fan’s wire and it stopped, removed the battery and it is fully charged. But the fan cannot stop working. I live in a very hot country but has this happened to anyone? Thanks!

What age and engine is in your Freelander?

disconnecting the coolant temperature sensor causes the radiator fan to run continuously - it is likely that the sensor has failed or broken/corroded wires or connectors.
