Freelander diff oil

Hello all.
I am trying to locate the diff oil plug locations front and rear on my freelander td4 2003

Is it same plug to check and top up ?

yes it is the same plug to top up as to check the level it is on the prop side near the top a three eighths ratchet drive is the best way.

Hi

Had a look on the back of the diff

Is it a hex allen key type plug that I need to remove and not a socket set type ?

It is a square hole in the plug. Use a 3/8" ratchet to remove it then stick your finger in to find the level.. Top it up till oil starts running out of the hole.
