A link would be helpful ;)

I can't speak for the TD4, however the claim that it will work for every land rover from 2002 to 2011 is a bit of a con.
TD5 engines are not OBDII compliant. It wouldn't work on my Discovery.
I would be weary as the title says 'Land Rover Gearbox Diagnostic Reset Fault Code Read / Scan Tool'

Does this mean its only good for the gearbox?

I wonder will it fault find/clear srs on freelander td4 I know it says airbags but is srs classed as airbags or supplement restraint system ie seatbelts. most cheapo machines like that don't do srs
im buggered if I can find the fault I ve tried all the other things mentioned on here and just about everywhere else on tinternet and I don't know anyone close to me in blackpool that might plug it in to check things out

Someone has to try it to find out if it works. It's a risk using diagnostics as I found out last year. Interfacing with your vehicles computers may cause problems like not being able to start it. It's always a risk. It always surprises me just how good the cheaper devices claim to be. They never show you proof. Hence why I recorded mine for others to see/compare.

In the past I've approached companies for a freebee to try out. If it works then I will film it for people to see. If I like it then I will pay for it. If not, then it will be returned. I have also made the offer to pay part of the price tag or all of it, on the basis of full refund of payment if it goes back. I would pay outstanding if I kept it. None of the companies I approached accepted the offer. You can read into that many things. But if I were confident in my product I would film/advertise it myself. If someone wanted to do it for me and I knew is was a good working product... well that's just too easy.

Not sure how actuate this diagnostic readers are. I have a similar problem, I own a 2004 V6 petrol FLander. Mine won't start and has never let me down. Called the RAC out, they said the only fault showing on the diagnostic test was no signal from the Crank Position Sensor. I have ordered one from Rimmer Bros this morning. I will let you know how it goes when the part arrives. Glen.

Ive just order a Delphi product, have used a number of OB2 scanners in the past, but mostly they have either been for a particular make, or ECU or Air bag only.
I looked at the reader the OP mentioned, but decided its claims were a little too goo, so after researching more decided the non bluetooth delphi set up to be better.

I use one of the delphi tools, well, china clone. Good for me as I have a few cars and can be used on them all.

Not bad on my freelander, won't get into comfort modules but for the basics, engine, srs, etc is just fine. It does generate nice looking logs etc.
this log i saved today

Nice !! A similar clone was reported to work well on the Rover 75 using the k series 1.8 so this is starting to look like a sweet scanner. I wonder what it says regarding the jatco..
