freelander cuts out

Morning all i am new to this group and what i have seen and read this is a very professional outfit ok here is my problem i have a freelander TD4 2002 gs auto all of a sudden it has started to play up driving along all good then 3 lights com up on the dash tc abs hds failer in orange and the vehicle cuts out .I leave it for about 5 minutes and all good away we go again after the 4th time of this happening all in the same day the battery went flat and i had to jump start it i was told it was a alternator problem so put a new one on still doing it any ideas please before i shoot myself.

Hey I have a p38 and this is happening to be for the last 3 months I have yet to solve the issue but a few paths I went down might solve yours
Change crank shaft sensor
In tank fuel pump
and fuel stop solanoid on the injector pump
I'm now replacing the wiring loom let's hope that works and maybe point you in right direction

How can you think changing random parts is going to cure a problem...have you not heard of diagnostics!!!... It's what you start with before you randomly replace parts... And if you come back and say you live in Outer Mongolia and don't have access to diagnostics then you shouldn't have bought a modern LR product...

Shippers you don't know my story so I'd stay hush my p38 has been plugged I to a Hawkeye and snap on diagnostic and comes up with nothing witch is why I'm throwing parts at it

You were suggesting the OP went down same path as you...and you didn't mention having used diagnostics...you get answers on info given not what you've kept hush
