yesterday car would not start onboard dash battery light was illuminated engine not running.
jumpleaded from mates disco it started right away. it just about started this morning i stopped off at shop on way to work this morning and would not start again just ckicking sound from alternator. urgent advice please. :(

ive had the car approx one year now so im not sure of the age of the battery.
but at least i can eliminate it if it dont give anymore probs.

cheers guys.

Same thing happened to mine a bit back. Put in a new battery but had to end up fitting a new alternator. Not a bad job, quite cheap as well. :)

If you get one of those nice new battery charger conditioners it will tell you if you have a cell faulty and it will check your alternators charging as well.

You can leave it on your battery if its laid up for some time too

so come on then!!!! did you get a new battery? was is the alternator? had you left ur lights on?

this is one thing that really gets my goat on forums, get on when you've got a prob, ask everyone to help then can't be ar$ed to update the thread with the solution which would probably help someone out in the future.... ok, rant over
