Freelander 2 td4 Rear Subframe

Hi everyone!
I'm looking for a Freelander 2 rear subframe to replace mine.... I was wondering whether it is possible to use an evoque or discovery sport rear subframe as these are easier to find.

I would think they are different, but couldn't say without comparing them directly.

Thanks Nodge68! I have managed to hunt down a subframe from a salvage company now, just now need to find the suspension? arms that are coming off the subframe to replace corroded assembly. Salvage companies seem confused when i ask for the frame to still have the arms on...

All the rear suspension links are service replacement items, so are available new, as fitting second hand items is false economy due to degradation of the rubber componens.

How did you remove thecsuframe? Can the struts and diff remain? Can you drop the exhaust and slide it out? I can't find a tutorial on line.

The diff assembly has to be removed, as they are held in by the subframe.
The suspension can be unbolted from the subframe end or the strut ends.
The struts themselves remain in place.
An early Evoque rear subframe seems to fit, providing it's the AWD type. No FWD subframe will fit, as there's no mounting points for the diff.

Thanks for reply. So it looks like exhaust has to go first, I've found info on that, can the drive shafts remain in the hubs or have l got to remove them?

Things like the exhaust can be dropped enough to make space for the subframe to be removed.
The drive shafts should move sufficiently to get out the way of the subframe.
