Hi All

I am looking for some advice from the Landy specialists.

My Wifes Freelander 2 2.2 HSE started to leak oil and one mechanic had a look and told met its seals on the turbo as it is leaking on the intake side. So another qualified Ford mechanic had a look and took the intake pipe off where the resuscitation pipe comes in and its oily. Then as the car was idling with the oil cap loosened the it would move from the pressure / blowby.

Does this certainly mean its rings? and that the car has got blowby? Is there anything else that we can check that can be blocked causing blowby or the car to breathe? We really enjoy this car and if thats the case i will have to sell it at a loss. Any advice on the situation will be appreciated as i dont want to sell the car but i wont spend the money on new internals as where i live it would cost a fortune and months to get done.

What year is your FL2 where do you live, sound like it's a split hose to me, if so not to hard to sort out.
Its a 2011. I must also add a while ago the boost pipe on the front of the engine cracked and i did not replace it with a original but aftermarket silicon pipe, not sure i that can have a effect.

I am from South-Africa
