Vibration is a bit of a known issue with FR2's and there have been a few that have finally ended up with replacements. You need to keep plugging away as they should drive very nicley ! Does your actually send a vibration through the pedals that make your feet tingle ?
I have a real Lemon FR2, bad bad bad welcome to the world of L/R

There seems to be quite a few of them lemons.

Sounds like this is your first LandRover oldgeezer - it's just as well you didn't trade in a late model FL1 TD4 for what you have now - as you'd be crying for what you had lost.

With all due respect - you have entered the world of Ford and 'US of A' sales parameters. Doesn't explain the vibration though - just the general attitude since BMW sold the company.

Have you tried registering free on Topix and seen all the recalls - campaigns as they are called these days. You can type in your VIN number and see if you have any outstanding.

Keep at it - don't accept the dealer's "They all do that, sir." - they shouldn't!

Fortunately mine doesn't suffer with the vibration but have met guys that have FR2's suffering.
My own FR2 has had every update possible and lost count of how many months it has spent in dealerships being put right ! but wont bore you with all the details as it consumes at least 6 whole a4 pages of faults !
Yes your right the general attitude to every fault is "yes they all do that " If I had been paid £5.00 for every-time I had been told that then I could of bought another new one !
The fact is that having persevered I now know they dont have quirks when they are fixed properly :)
On a positive note I can say they drive extremely well & tow a dream when they work.

just tell them you are going to see trading standards and a solicitor they might look at it a bit more deeply dont be shy you are paying the good money and you have rights

I have a 07 freelander Automatic and had a similar problem with vibration whilst driving uphill or when heavily loaded (felt like running over a uneven road surface) it occured just as the auto box was about to change from 3rd to 4th gear.
My local independant land rover dealership stated that it was a common problem and was usually due to a software issue.
They took the car in and reloaded the transmission software charged me only £50 as a diagnostic fee and lo and behold the problem was solved, I still can barely believe it.
This is well worth considering as a first option before spending big bucks on a new clutch etc.:)
