Freelander 2 (2010) or Range Rover sport (2006-7)

So I have a bit of a choice to make... Do I buy a freelander 2 on a 59 reg with chrome pack and 77k or do I buy a range rover sport but for the money it will have to be an older, 2006-7... I've been warned away from the range because of age and maintenance, running and tax costs but I still want one!! Help!,!,
