Hi, I am new to this site so forgive me if I am posting this in the wrong place but I am at my wits end!!
I bought a beautiful 2007 Freelander 2 HSE with only 18000 miles on the clock from my local Landy dealer only a month ago. Since then it has been back to them 5 times for a startup fault that happens at various times and not only first thing in the morning. I put the key in the dock and put my foot on the brake (sorry forgot to say its an auto) and I get various HDC messages come up, the temperature gauge goes into the red and then it will say transmission fault along with various other messages. I remove the key, leave it a few seconds it may or may not do it again or it will just start up as normal. Trouble is every time I try and start the car its a lottery. The garage have been
good and have replaced the PCU, Ive had a new battery and I got them to replace the earthing strap, but bugger me it happened again today when we were out with the kids. I really want to get to the bottom of the problem because I love the car and don't want to part with it but the wife is now insisting we look elsewhere and has a Mitsubishi Outlander in mind!! Can anybody out there please help or I am going to be forced over to the house of the rising sun and having to part with my beloved freelander!!
