Freelander 2.0 di L series

Hi all.Please could you give me an idea and any pointers on cylinder head removal on the L series.

Head needs to come off and planning the work in a few days. Take it the timing belt has to come off etc.

Yep. Have haynes manual. Looks a bit complex. My 300 tdi was easy to do..

as useful as haynes are i wouldn't go that far, they contain mistakes

it was typed by 100 munkehs sat at typewriters for a year

The L series is a simple engine to work on. Why are you doing the HG ? They don't normally fail! But if it has got to be done there is no point in not doing the cam and pump belts at the same time. I often change the water pump and thermostat as well, especially if it's overheated
