Hi my name is Roy
I have a simple solution to the arm that falls off inside the inlet manifold.
Send me an email and I will send you a video. I cannot upload it here. Basically instead of trying to reattach the cups on the arm to balls on the valves the solution is to not allow the arm to fall off. I used an anodized aluminium bar to keep the arm with cups from falling off. Works like a charm. The oil in the inlet manifold keeps it well lubricated. I have gutted another manifold in the past but you lose too much low end torque without the power valves working.
I do off the beaten track stuff within a 250 km radiius of Durban South Africa. with my partner Mersha.
I have a 2002 freelander 1 V6 and 2008 Range Rover sport 4.2 L V8. I have done extensive work on my hippo to keep it going. Also raised it 30 mm making spacers in our engineering shop.
