Hi, I'm very new to landrovers and don't have a lot of mechanical knowledge.
I've got a 2005 Freelander which has a problem with the reverse gear, when trying to reverse it jumps out of gear and grinds. I've tried holding the gear stick in place but 9 out of 10 times it will jump out.
This obviously makes reversing pretty difficult and is very embarrassing.
When I do get it to reverse the vehicle won't go far before eventually jumping out again.
Is this a common problem? And is it repairable?
Thanks
