Yes. But if the current radio is only driving 1 speaker, then the replacement will do the same, unless you find why all 4 speakers aren't working.

Normally it's the speakers or wiring to them that cause speakers to stop working.

Agree with Nodge. Corrosion affected three of the four main speakers on mine. Two were quite wet when I stripped the doors. Two sets of cheap JVC speakers sorted out the sounds out perfectly

Interesting scenario.....wouldn`t of thought water ingress would affect so many speakers!
i`ll be checking that out this Saturday.
on another note, need a IRD for my 2000 TD4........any ideas?

thanx

All the doors get wet when it rains or the vehicle is washed. All the doors are identical in design, so the same faults affect all the doors, be it rusted window cables, failed lock actuators, or rusty speakers.

What ideas do you want?
If the IRD has failed, then you'll need a replacement. You'll also need to rectify the reason it failed to start with. So that normally means replace the VCU with a recon from reputable supplier. You'll also need to make sure it has 4 identical tyres (same make, same type, same size) and the least worn is on the rear.
