Freelander 1 as a shooting vehicle?

I was wandering if there are any other Freelander 1 owners who use theirs as a shooting vehicle and if they shoot from the car since been trying to do some lamping from the boots with the seats and the rear window down only to find the high rear brake light and spare wheel get in the way. Odd question but if you shoot from the car where do you find the best place to be?

I have always had someone shooting from the front passenger seat and the driver working the lamp no matter what 4x4 I used at the time

I have either drove and shot at the same time, from drivers window, or drove whilst someone else shot from passenger window, the rear door is left open and our picker upper (my missus) sits with legs out back, ready to go pick up the rabbits (yes my wife is the best)

either take a piece of foam, fold in half and place large eleastic band around, this then simply pushes onto wing mirror as a rifle support, or a piece of foam pipe insulation (32mm) placed on edge of window and then raise or lower window to suit

I shoot from mine, mostly .22lr but did once make the mistake of a .303 - never again!

I usually park up at the edge of the wood or field I have permission on, hop into the passenger seat and put a bit of foam pipe lagging on the window glass to rest the stock on. My lamp is affixed to my scope so resting the stock is handy as I dont get tired holding it.

I get rabbits, foxes and other small vermin.

I also happen to know that you can get a couple of decent sized deer in the boot space too!

AYE,
I use the Freebie for shooting, while the Defender is off the road.
My mate shoots out of the window, thats while the window mechanism works lol.
