Freelander 1.8 Problem after problem.

So this is our first Land rover, and my first time on a forum.
This thing is driving me nuts. On day one it leaked fuel and I was under it fixing it... I'm still under there after removing the prop shaft, then the slave cylinder exploded, spark plug wells full with oil, C.V joints started knocking, oh and the tail gate gave up along with the radio.
All within a month.
I can honestly say I have spent more time under it than in it.
What was I thinking of buying this?
So my questions too you guys are:
1. Whats going to break next?
2. What will break after that?
3. And are the parts ESR4300 and ESR4283 the same size? Been told the don't make the bit i need anymore.

I had a 1.8 lander it melted the block on the m40 so yeh i know freelanders lol

now have a very thirsty leaky rattly 4.6 range rover lol
