Freelander 1.8 petrol leaking water

Hi, just a note to thank you all for this wonderful website.
I purchased a 2001 1.8 petrol freelander from a local Garage.
I had always wanted one and thought it was a good buy.
I had the car for 7 days and water started dripping from underneath??
I took the freelander back to the garage from which I bought it -
he kept the car overnight and replaced the water pump - from where
he thought the water came. I had the car back the next day - drove
it for about 30 miles - more water dripping from underneath.
Phoned the garage again - and he offered me my MONEY back.
Deep joy - I now have my old faithfull Vectra back on the Drive.
Thanks again to you all for your advice - wish I had viewed the
website before my purchase - but am grateful to you all that I
am now no longer an owner of a Freelander.

are you sure it wint just A/C water draining from the evaporator drains, not that it matters cos it wur a 1.8, and yer probelly well shot of it

No - there was no air con on this model.
Well rid of it - thank god
