Does anyone know any routes or areas that are off road and worth taking a look at anywhere in the above countries?

We are having a trip out in May.

Assuming you have`nt already gone, go look for "LAND" magazine (french) they have really good tips for off-road stuff in France. If you get to Pyrenees, buy a carte de randoneer(walking ) map, really good info. Some of the routes that were Cathar or shepherd paths are negotiable with care and go on for days,in low ratio, forget trying them with a L322 and road tyres, grown men only! Germany has some good stuff but they get snakey if you ask for help if stuck, "vot are you dooink" etc, dont try to explain, just go. Spain can be a saga all on its own, they filmed"good bad and the ugly" there for good reason, no people. you can do Pamplona to Madrid off road but as previous, no L322`s. Good luck and have fun but go prepared.

If you want to go off road don't come to Germany!
We have a few pay and play sites and the situation for "green laning" variates from country to country a lot ( Germany is a ferderation of 16 countrys). Were I live, north rine westphalia it´s very hard. If its don't have a official name or number signpostet it's forbidden to drive. Fine between 80 up to 10tsd.€ ( never hear about that it happen. Around a few hundreds quit was maximum)
Belgium, France, Spain will be the better choice. The Land, univers Land and tout 4x4 magazine are some times with road books.

From June the 3rd there is a very very good off road fair. Highly recomended! It in a nice landscape as well. Worth a travel.
