Fr td4 engine removal ? .

Hi guys , got given a 03 freelander td4 engine sized and a replacement engine for it , question is I have a engine lift but is it best to take the engine up and out with box still on or off , or down the way and lift car off .,thanks any help would be good

Engine + IRD + gearbox won't come out the top. Drop the lot onto a dolly and lift the car off.

Or separate the engine from the box and lift the engine out
