just bought defender td5 hardtop and want some forward facing rear seats. does any1 no wat the law is on them and where i can find some? cheers

look at the thread i posted about seats. i was asking about inward facing ones tho, but still some useful info, how are people going to get into the seat if its hard top?

well im actually after the seats that are like the drivers seat but they fold ino the sides so u wud climb in then fold the seat down. iv seen them b4 but mite av bin custom made. cheers for the info

yeh i know the ones u mean, only thought about that once i'd posted. they do exist, saw some on ebay when i was lookin for my inward facing ones. i was told on here that u can fit seats but no seat belts, otherwise it will fail mot if u fit seatbelts. people told me to ask mot man on the do's and don'ts

may be better putting benches in along arches. not as safe but you can fit more people in and means u'll still have load space

you can have bench seats with no seat belts (cheapest) or folding foward facing with seat belts (expensive). both are legal... bench seats with seatbelts are not.

thats wat im after. any1 no where i can buy them?

good work, bit out of budget for me, i'm gona have to go second hand for my seats, being a lamo tax dodging student and all

I got two of them in my 90. My mates want me to fit bench seats to get more people in so i'm probably lookin at sellin em. they r the black plastic viynl ones.

they ent got no seat belts though and they r original equipment. So i don't think they need belts - don't quote me on that one though
