Will be looking to spend up to 2k,on a RR classic V8 or Disco V8 to off road/greenlane.Would like a 110,90 or lightweight in the future as a project.

V8's sound great but you only get 10/12mpg and if you even drive past a puddle they stall. unless you spend loads of time and effort waterproofing em. and even then you still can't wade in them. Get a diesel Disco or Defender. the only deciding factors been how much space do you need/how many kids/how much comfort do you need? RR's are ok but too many fancy electronics and gadgets to go wrong and they can be difficult to repair without the computer diagnostics.
