Why?
The 1954 Year Model saw a big change: the 80 in (2,000 mm) wheelbase model was replaced by an 86 in (2,200 mm) wheelbase model, and a 107 in (2,700 mm) "Pick Up" version was introduced. The extra wheelbase was added behind the cab area to provide additional load space.

But I think it is wrong to be selling chassis with log book as it will help the ringers but at least this sale is a complete chassis not a pile of rust!

Ok gentlemen put your claws away, I was just trying to move some bits on to some fellow Land Rover enthusiasts but if this is the welcome I get I won't bother again.

I'm sorry if you think I should have introduced myself so to satisfy you, I'm a Land Rover owner and restorer of 25 years based in Somerset and try and be helpful where I can, I currently have too many Land Rovers (6), too many spares in my barn and a couple of military vehicles, there introduced myself so you should be happy now.
Mad-Git, yes think so, series 1 86" chassis clearly you don't know what one looks like.
Lazydog, take your point but I'm not going to give the chassis number out to anybody until they have given me the cash so no more chance of ringing than knowing any chassis number, its original and genuine chassis and I will only sell to genuine people, just think of it as a complete vehicle with a few bits missing.

I like to think I'm a positive type of guy so all this negative stuff is not a good reflection on Landyzone so I wish you all the very best but this is clearly not the type of forum I what to spend my time on, Bye, bye.

Dr, Evil. Thanks for your positive remark, just confirms my comments, perhaps you should focus your energy on saying something constructive about Land Rovers rather than trying to bully people. Don't worry I'm going.
