Well i was hoping to be rebuilding my front axle not this weekend but next but my fookin clutch has decided to let go lookerly it was on the drive when it happened, master cylinder empty with fluid under my 90 and supposedly stuck in reverse ( son went to use it and all this happened ) so i will go round and have a look see in the morning before i go to work :(

Pedal just goes up and down if fork snaps. No fluid loss. If your changing slave cylinder don't pull the push rod off its clip inside the housing.

yeah hopefully its just the slave cylinder as i was going to do all this when i am doing the galv chassis up re-build early next year :)

Yeah if it is the slave cylinder i will replace the master cylinder aswell :)

As noted the slave is a short job (minus the bleeding). Make sure the hydraulic piping from the MC is reconnected on the slave cylinder hose snugly or you will do like me and spray brake fluid out when the system builds pressure. Had to end up cutting piping and getting it re-flared.

The master cylinder replacement was a little more engaging to say the least. Getting the clutch pedal box out required some effort.

Funny enough just like you I thought my clutch fork was gone as i could not get it out of gear after installation of both slave and master cylinder. But with some effort I got it back into gear went for a test drive and all was well. The result is well worth the effort.

Ha ha yeah it was a bit of a pain not much room between the exhaust and chassis but did it in the end ;)
