Whilst washing my landrover today for my agreed value photo's my neighbour asked me if I wanted a couple of fog lights he has had in his garage since the 60's which he bought for a three wheeler and never fitted. I accepted and this afternoon jury rigged them on two holes that where in my front bumper will check light output later when dark. If I decide to keep them on will need to move them back a little as they obstruct my recovery eyes and at risk when operating capstan winch. Lamps where Dor-Rhuna and look to be a good make.

I had two nice glass Lucas ones on the back as work lights, someone decided they needed them more than me and stole them, so beware!

Not too impressed with the light pattern so may just remove them.
Have not driven anywhere in the dark just powered them up when I returned from the pub last night.

I had two 70’s chrome Lucas LR.? spot and fog and mounted them a bit wider towards end of bumper to avoid towing eyes., problem with them is sealed beams an d not easily sourced when they blow , so now just the one works

You might find if they are proper fog lights, then they need to be mounted under the bumper, look at all the modern cars and the height of their fog lights.

I had something similar on my 2A but got them in the 90s. 2x 100w 'race' floods. They were awesome. Still got them somewhere, not sure if you can still buy the bulbs though, think the were H3

Seen 120w+ H3 still about.

@steve2286. What size sealed beams they take ?

Id go for hid in them myself at about 60w. Be brighter and less amps on the wiring. Probably cheaper too.

AHH I see smooth back. Bugger

Seen n sold conversion reflectors in past but the bulb n holders would be stuck out too far. From memory they were 5 3/4" sorry

I'll dig through the old man's garage full of 1600e spares. May be one in there spare. Knowing him there will be a box full of nos ones
