FOB creating beeps on opening car

Greetings all

I have a 2013 Freelander 2. All of a sudden when opening the car by pressing the open button once on the fob we are getting 2 beeps from the car. I cannot find anything in the handbook that advises what this means. We have changed the battery in the past when the range was reduced, but we have never had the 2 beeps before. Can anyone help?

I had a google look, something about a software issue. It can be turned on in the driver menus but does come on at times on its own, needing a reset to turn off. May be worth checking if theres a recall or software update to cure.

Is it the horn bleeping or the sound of the double lock bleep you hear?

Many thanks, really appreciate the response. Once things get back to normal I'll be looking to take it in for a reset.
