FNS Electric window

The front passenger electric window on my 58 plate HSE only goes up and down in stages. I have tried to reset it by holding the switches up and down for over 10 seconds to no avail. The one press raise and lower does not work at all. There are no strange noises from the motor, any ideas. If I need to take the door panel off to replace anything, some advice would be appreciated to avoid damage

Close the window completely. Wait a second and then hold the window button in the up position for a few seconds. You'll hear a little noise like a dull thud / click. Then open the window completely. Wait a second and then hold the window button in the down position for a few seconds.

You do have to pause between fully opening and fully closing the window before carrying out the reset procedure.

Thanks for the quick response, I've tried this but I still have the same problem with the window, any other ideas of what it could be?
