When I stripped my Series 3 down, the panels that make up the driver's compartment (floors, transmission tunnel etc) were sealed at the joints with tape.

From what I could tell it was a double sided tape. What is the correct name for this tape? I will need to order some more before re-assembly.

Thanks for any info.

I will be needing to do this soon. By gutter sealer do you mean the type that comes in a sealant gun tube?

My local Wickes has something called "flexible gutter sealer". Is this the same product?

Given that most Land Rovers leak I leave the sealant off to allow the water to drain out.
Been trying to seal hardtop for 35 years now with very little success. On odd times it has gone 6 months fairly dry then the leaks start all over again.

I keep meaning to seal floor plates but whenever I contemplate it some work needs doing that needs them removed so I havent bothered. No drafts caused by itso just left it as it is

Mine are just screwed down - no sealant. Sealing floor panels down can cause gearbox failure.....meaning floor panels out again and sealant to clean off and re apply! Sod's law and all that. As others have said, it can also allow water to drain from the footwell.
