Got brakes and the exhaust all fitted now

Timing belt, welding and some electrical stuff to do>
Starter motor off and dropped in for a refurb as solenoid is sticking a bit

Hope fully after weekend will only be welding left

Passed its MOT today

2 advisories
brakes have slight pull
steering has a slight stiff point

3 weeks from pulling it from someones yard where it had been stood rotting to 12 months MOT

Cost of about

£400 including MOT Test
new parts were
Headlights
xenon bulbs
Brake Caliper kit
Rear Brake Seals
Timing Belt
Exhaust
Indicator lens
rocker cover gasket
Front Crank oil seal
number plate light
windscreen wipers

Start Motor reconditioning
Service

So c reg defender 90 on the road ( well will be at end of the month when i tax it)

Even got the winch working, now for some buffing & polishing to get it looking something other than a shed

hey Cavey, seems we both took the plunge at the same time! still have my P38 but got a defender for hunting and off roading. there great fun and there nice and handy to work on. parts are cheap as chips compared to a p38. got to be said there is something about a defender that puts a smile on your face when driving.

bought it like this

Cracked the axle pan while off roading and had to do this....

then bought some new toys and now it looks like this!!
