I took the dash out today. What a nightmare job.
A few queries:
1. I am planning to replace all 3 blend motors, but not sure whether to get Britpart, or would even second hand (90 warranty) be better? The OEMs were not great, so maybe the Britparts will be no worse, probably better than reusing old ones.
2. The flaps themselves turn relatively freely, except the front flaps which are really stiff. Prising the casing apart frees them up a little so the self tapper fix may do the job there. How about putting silicone or nylon grease on the gears and shaft? I cannot even get the gear off of that shaft, whereas the others came of easily.
3. The vertical air duct had been cut before at some point. Any idea where to get one? Part number AWR2719. Nothing much on ebay UK.
Already done the O rings a couple of years ago and there are no signs of leaks from the heater.
I do have leaks from the filter boxes again but will do the usual clean up and replace and reseal there.
Cheers in advance.
