Hi, I have a 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 that only throws out hot air from the driver side vents and little or nothing from pass side. It has dual climate control. The vents are not blocked and can move but the motors don't seem to kick in. I've replaced 2 of these with new ones just in case but still no joy.
Air con pipes under bonnet are cold. It also looks like it was in a bit of a scrape at some stage as there are signs that the windscreen was shattered.
Anyone any ideas please

Thanks for the reply Freelance, the pipes go through the bulk head as far as I can tell.
As for the wires, I've had a good look and in the centre console around the gear lever there is a 'spare' connector with 4 wires into a 10/20 pin block if that makes sense. I can't see where this goes at all or what might connect to it.
While looking for loose or missing connections I had to take the dash out as I could not access the heating vents or the motors on the drivers side. I moved the 2 new motors over that side as it was a good 9 hours grunting. As far as I can see there are 5 of these little motors and all are connected up.....it still doesn't work. Only hot air getting through and vents don't seem to work/move at all.
Any thoughts??

I'm gonna have to get it checked out by an auto electrician as my local Land Rover garage have said that they have no ideas and all they want me to do is buy parts that it might be and put them in. I'll let you know how I get on.

Right then, got this problem sorted. It turned out to be the heater control panel that had given up. However, there was a twist (an expensive one!) the two new motors I had put in would not code to the system so luckily I had the old ones (which turned out to be perfect - thanks Landrover Dealer!!) so they popped these back in, reset the system and hey presto all is working well. Cost me €900 in labour from a Bosch Specialist (MKW Motors - thanks guys for a professional job) and the new heater control was €230 or so but the problem was found BEFORE they told me to buy the parts.
