Anyone see any problems fitting a pair of perhaps standard 4.6 (pre-99) reconditioned heads to a Thor 2000 engine?
The recon heads I have are casting number HRC2479 8 94 to 2002 but I have read that the later Thor engines have modified heads i.e. Valve spring height, valve grinding angles etc ? Also interested in the sub number ie: Casting No: HRC2479 8 Have seen other sub numbers 10,11,15 etc any ideas on what these mean?
In the meantime found this for the Thor
- New intake system
- New fuel feed without return line
- Intake and Ignition system Bosch Motronic
- Modified rocker cover (?)
- Aluminium oil sump (is this a good idea?)
- Lots of new sensors for engine management
- New flywheel
