Fitted mine years ago.....got a set of 3 from the rear off an old Golf.
Fitted the reel part to the inner side of the top rail.....has to sit on the same angle as it does in the car or the jam.
Prob got some pics if your interested.

Did you tell your insurance company...just click on upload file and select from gallery...
Not quite the same as mine is a soft top hence the raised bar for the shoulder mount but this shows how I positioned them on the bulkhead. I had static belts fitted to my series 3 so used the same mounting point on the bulkhead they used with some 6mm angle to give a flat surface. Please ignored the dog it is best pic I had to hand, You can see the passenger belt between the strap and the side. I can try and get a better pic next time I am with the vehicle. As you have a hardtop you should be able to use part number 395586 and 395587 for the upper brackets.
I one of mine came from a Skoda Felicia I stripped to take banger racing and the other is a universal seatbelt bought online. As mentioned above you need to be carful with the mounting angle. If taking one from a vehicle it needs to be mounted with the same angle or if buying universal you need to make sure it is one you can set the angle on rather than having to be perfectly straight. (you can see mine are mounted at an angle)

Those look dry good for the price but I’m just not sure where is best to bolt them down to they stay attached should the wrist happen.Have you looked here Land Rover Series 3 Seat Belts & Fittings | John Craddock Ltd

The bottom mounts to the sill for the belt, the top will need the hard top brackets I posted numbers for earlier also on the Craddocks link. The buckle I believe you need an additional bracket that bolts to the underside of the seat box and onto the chassis. May be in the craddocks link but also here from yrm in nice stainless (link)
The only challenge is finding somewhere solid enough for the inertia reel itself To mount but lots of people mount it to the bulkhead top rail and as I said it is where Land Rover mounted the static belts I had originally and used the same mounting for the inertia reel.

You could try giving them a ring, (no idea what/who you will get to speak too)
you basically need the triangular bracket for the top, an L shaped bracket for the bottom, backing plate maybe, then the buckle with a plate. They should all bolt in and as long as the reinforcement plates are fitted behind should be good.

Mine came with brackets that bolt to the B pillar by your head.. if it dries in the next week I'll take a pic

This reminds me I have no seat belts at all fitted yet, looking at the link above from craddocks I do have some of the brackets but might be some missing .
Would love to see some more pics of what goes where.

Can't see why either, but if fitted then they must work and must be worn
And fitted properly...it would be classed as a modification by insurance would it not...

Unlikely to make any difference to premiums...but non-disclosure just gives the Insurance Co a stick to beat you with given half a chance.

It's not a modification that impacts the handling or performance though, or even the theft appeal.
You modify when you put a different brand of tyre on, or put a bumper sticker on etc
