Hi JohnnyCrash i have a 2.5 auto with front fogs and upto now ive had no probs with the cooler, but i would be interested to know how and where you moved your cooler to thanks Jeff

Hi I used a mocal oil cooler and hoses, I was lucky as most of the bit were just lay around my garage from previous cars I've owned.

make sure you mount it as far away from this sensor as poss though, or your internal temp gauge will show the wrong temp ;-)

the hardest part is refitting the 2 gearbox sensors

fitted this over 50k miles ago, and the only thing I have noticed is that the ATF oil comes out still red after 25k miles!

Whilst I will always bow to greater knowledge I still believe that a low level BECM will support front fogs. Not personal experience but Rick-the-Pick, the BECM guru, once said that the only difference was in their support for fully powered seats & mirrors.
I would still try plugging in a decent diagnostic tool to see if they can be powered. It won't do any harm. If it fails please accept my apologies and I will add this to my P38 knowledge.

this is what im hoping, i shall report bac

although lo line becm- i still have heated seats, electric heated mirrors, cruise control, air conn, rear fog... its only electric seats im missing, and if it has a rear fog, and all front fog wiring loom/connectors, im thinking surely the becm will support

fingers crossed

That sounds like it's hi line then:)

I tried it with the Nanacom but no luck and also tried the EAS setup but it would not get any readings for target heights,
Have since tried the Nanacom on mine and got readings so it could be bad connection on the OBD plug but that looked ok and no wet carpets or anything .

im not sure, its got L, on it , not the H

update- plugged it in to a nanocom today (thanks david) and it didnt work, its like it could not locate the fogs

so next step i presume, is to 1st change the connectors , as i did just plug them straight in to the old/original ones on my car, and try that

if not, some sort of new wiring set up with a relay by passing the becm ?

if it is that route, can i wire it in through the switch still ?

If it didn't work, could you read any BECM settings?

yes it put in diagnostic mode and could operate windows and that sort of thing, the fog bits it wasnt too clear, there was no like "on/off" setting i dont think, but we went through the lights and stuff one by one it seemed to be working, it was like it couldnt "see" any fogs being connected and thje light on the fog switch wouldnt light up/work

it also wouldnt read the EAS and bring the imput and settings up and seemed to play up a bit
