Fitting a Double Dinn GPS/DVD into dash

i'm pretty sure that its the round bmw type connector on the back of thses 6 disc units and autoleads do a cable but think its listed for use with a discovery? i'll have a look at the autoleads fitment spreadsheet but could do with seeing the harness first and I ain't got time to whip it out over the weekend :(

currently ripping all the kids dvd's to avi's so i can whack em all on an 8gb card so i ain;t got loads of discs floating round the car :)

Quick answer, yes! Navigon also runs on Wince05 or newer.

£200 is OK, but keep looking, better out there!!

that one dont look like it has the steering controls.

iv allready changed my factory fitted 6 disk changer on mine, to a single din version.
yes there the weired bmw pin connectors but i got an adapter from auto leads like you mentioned which turns them into convensional plugs for aftermarket stereos.


they also do another lead, that i also purchased which conencts the steering controls to my head unit.

i cant do without them, i use them alot :p:p

Good idea about rips, you'd have to do two like haha

The ISO is square, the dealers just looked at me like I was daft asking for a part like that!!! as if it was unheard of!

and have you got the harmon kardon hippo?

Not a bad unit, price is going up mind!!!! Keep it as an option but keep looking haha

depends on the year of your freelander tho, after 2004 they changed to this type.
otherwise there the round pin type (bmw type)

mines 54 reg and its got the type i have shown (in the link)



not that i know of, no harmon kardon.

i want to change my speakers, there not loud enough lol so guess there only original speakers. not upgraded ones :D

Something like that would be handy, but my unit only has the wires on the back so I've got to attach them to the ISO myself, I need a blank ISO and pins!! Or use the one currently fitted on my factory unit.

yes, i never had to cut any cables, took only 10 mins to fit, just plug in and go.

better price, but you get what you pay for !

the cheaper ones dont have the freeview builtin, you have to pay £50 for it as an extra !

damm ill just buy it !!

grhh, what have you made me do !!! lol :D
 
Hahaha, when you put it like that, only thing is at times you'll not get the freeview depending on location, then you might start with a signal booster!! As I got mine cheap from the overseas family mafia I settled for a unit without TV so you'd have one up on me!
