well, as promised, my install piccys
Only took an hour to change all 4, easy to work on these freelanders
anyway.
started on the rear passenger speakers.
taking the panel off.
Panel off, showing original speaker.
Soldered on new cables that were supplied with the new speakers.
All done !
The cables i soldered on come with spade conenctions that connect to the speakers, i also soldered the connectors to the speakers as they are quite loose connections and i dont want them comming off any time soon
A picture with me holding the supplied grilles on the door panel just to show what they would look like fitted, i dont like them, too chavy for me ! but if you do want to fit them they can just be screwed straight on top of the existing ones - easy peasy
Now the front
existing
new
I also disconnected the original tweeters in the front columns as there not needed as the new speakers are full range speakers
also more preperation for my arrival of my working head unit.
i bought two iso connectors for the steering connections to the new head unit. so they can just plug in to the unit instead of having to hard wire in.
just used the speaker iso plugs and used 3 cores on each plug.
thats all for now
want to see your install piccys now !
