I have recently become the owner of a 1999 Freelander. Its a 3 door with the Rover Diesel engine. Always wanted a LR and so this is the start of what I am sure will be an interesting journey. The Freelander will mainly be used at weekends for camping trips, pulling trailer loads of logs and turf (peat). I live in Co. Fermanagh so its great territory for 4x4 vehicles. The Freelander is out of MOT and needs a bit of work for the test but nothing major (I hope). One initial issue I have and its a bit of a pain is that the Freelander needed a new battery. I have fitted one but since then it wont start. It turns over, all lights on the dash except for the glowplug/engine heater light - any suggestions on what I can do to fix this are welcome...I must add that the central locking is a bit dodgy on it!
