Hi all,

Just thought I'd say hello before I tap you all for your knowledge on all things freelander :).

My name is Doug, I live in Cornwall with themissus and the 4 kids and i've just bought myself a 51 plate, 1.8S freelander soft top......petrol. Before everyone shouts, I'm now aware that I should have done some research on the different makes and models instead of just buying the first one I saw on a whim....but hey ho, we live and learn :).

Anyways, hope it's not considered too rude on the first post but I already need some advice. The oil warning light (red) and the odometer light come on and stay on when the engine is switched "off". They go out when the engine is started and running. I've not been able to find out what this is by searching the beloved Google so was wondering if anyone else has come across this. Handbook doesn't say anything.
Thanks in advance and look forward to chatting more as time goes on.

Cheers

Doug.

I'm guessing no-one else has come across this then???

I'll keep trawling the net and post if I come across anything.

Doug.
