Either way, it was an experience... hopefully never to be repeated again! Hard enough feeling totally helpless but the worst bit was trying to get a taxi on New Years Eve for myself, my wife and our 2 dogs!

As for the disco (check me with the lingo) and even the defender or any landy (there's that lingo again) I'm keen to learn welding and some general mechanics. Grew up on a farm and always remember thinking that if dad could weld bits and bobs, rather than handing it to someone else to do it would have made life a lot simpler. I'm keen to learn and do enjoy tinkering so an uncomplicated piece of machinery would be a good starter.
