Ok, seeing that this has gone from a landie forum to an excersise forum, lets talk about it....

Please suggest how, after I have DRIVEN the 2k's (ffs), I then get to clients, maybe 50k's away - 3, 4 times a day!? Would you suggest I walk to the office in the morning, then around 10, walk to my house and get the car, then after seeing the client park the car at home and walk the 2ks to the office, then around 1pm, walk to my house, get the landie, see the client, drive back to my house, park the landie and walk to the office etc etc etc etc........

Or, I could get into the landie in the morning and "drive around the block" before driving the 2k's (ffs) to the office in order to actually use the coolant, fan, waterpump and whatever else.

Any further comments regarding my day-to-day routine would be greatly appreciated. :)

"Yes, I hardly drive 2km's to work everyday"

is that not wot yer sed in the first place

where do yer mention driving 50km's 3 or 4 times a day?

if yer want help and advice yer gotta give us the facts , we int gort crystal balls, in fact some of those from the suffering hemiphere int gort balls at all.
so how far do yer drive? and does it go away after yer 3 or 4 50Ks a day that yer decided to tell us about?

Ahhhhhhhhhh, now the forum has changed from, landy to excersise/fitness/wellness to law/prosecution/interrogation............. GOTTO LOVE IT!!

Right, firstly Slob, no this is not at all what I said in my first post. In my first post I said the following - I even started it off by letting you know it was my first - FFS!!!

Hi all,

First Landie, first post!!

I recently bought a 1969 Series 2 SWB 2.25 PETROL. All looks in good condition, but recently (2 weeks after the purchase) I noticed that everytime I start it - whether hot or cold - a great WHITE puff of smoke comes out of the exhaust.

Any ideas what this could be? Once the engine is running I see no smoke at all - not when I accellerate, not when I just idle - NEVER!!

Other than this, the engine sounds 100%.

Ok, so the way I see it, you have basically everything you need right here......the magic words being EVERYTME,HOT or COLD,WHITE PUFF,SMOKE.

So who really cares Slob, whether I drive 2k's FFS or 50k's FFS or 3x50k's FFS........... the fact of the matter is, EACH TIME I start the car, white smoke.............. And that is the only question I asked and wanted answered.

FFS!!!!!!!

it matters alot how far yer drive. yer injun might be hot but that doesn't mean yer exhaust is hot along its full length. if yer exhaust hasn't fully heated up then you could have condensation in it which could produce steam/ water vapour every time yer start up. this could easily be mistaken for smoke.

but as yer dint care and dint want to furnish the details needed to answer yer question on the net, which i might add is a tad more difficult than answering yer question after having seen the offending vehicle in action, i'll leave yer to sort it on yer own

Peace!! Next time I have a problem, I'll be sure to write in absolute detail.:p

Anyways, seriously now..... Thanks for all the answers. I have a few things which I could have a look at and I also know that I dont need to worry about condensation.

Have a good one.
