It's a petrol engine so as my old man always said, the three options are, no spark, no petrol, no engine!
So basically it will need a spark at the plugs, petrol through the carbs, and compression.
Is there a fuel filter in the engine bay to check, did the alternator charge light come on, or any other symptoms you could tell us?
