Hi People, I have to sell my RR, it is with the greatest regret, but needs must. I need your expertise and guidance on the best outcome, price wise that is. I am contemplating BCA auctions, it might yield a better price, I don't want to scrap it, having spent £5K getting it right. Your comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
 
Autotrader at 10-15% above your minimum price & be prepared to accept offers. Also eBay with reserve set at same price. Whichever it sells via, you can end the other ad early. In either case the more pictures the better. Also include photos of the receipts laid out on a table !!

Both give you info on typical selling prices when creating the advert. Bottom line you will probably get market value, unless it's a particularly good example.

Thank you pwood999, that is good to know, i will look into it, i am hoping it won't come to selling the car, making preparations in case I have to.

I know you changed your intentions further down and are now saying you hooe you don't have to and are just making preparations in case
BUT
I'll answer the "I have to sell".
You will not get best price at auction. 2003 with mid -high mileage will be a couple of grand, at best.
You will never get the £5k you put into it, back. Unless you got it for free.
Best prices on autotrader range from average vehicle £2.5k to someone's hopeful £5k.
Whilst showing all paperwork is a bonus, it will not make a massive price difference on a 19yr old vehicle.
Sell it as you sell any vehicle, look around at prices, decide how much you will take, add a little for barter room, let the buyer think they did well.
Then say goodbye to it , and look for next love. :)

The only reason I may have to, is the same for everybody else costs are rising. Whilst I used to drive it 3 times a week, now it is one, that's only the cost of petrol. I am hoping it will come down soon. Yes, I might make a loss, but £2.5k is better than I hoped to be honest, Thanks for your insight and advice most appreciated.
