I was at an auction on Saturday and noticed a set of side steps stuck at the back of the shed that were not part of the auction. Had a closer look and saw it had a LR part number format. Googled the part number and found they were P38 side steps. Went to collect my items today and asked about the steps. They said that they had been abandoned and then said I can have them if I wanted for FREE as they were going to throw them in the skip.

They look OK with some surface rust and the rubber is a bit dented in places. A bit of fettling should get them looking good but may get them shot blasted seeing as they didn't cost me anything. So as I said feeling chuffed at the moment.

Now had a think I am unsure about fitting them. My mom is 5'2'' and nearly 80. She shouts when I tell her to wait while I lower it too access height. So could fit them.

I've been watching "find it, fix it, flog it" recently so could strip them and get them powder coated and sell on line. Could be a nice earner given they were free.

If you go off road I would leave them off.
