Hi Guys. Been a long while. Just bought a d4 landmark.
Timed climate. What do the manual heat/vent buttons do? What would I have to do to fit a remote control to the heating? Landrover fob type. I’ve tried the time settings and it fires up. Just not sure on the rest as the instructions are not very good with the car

No. It gives a poor description of the times. Nothing about the manual vent/heat or whether I can just buy a controller key fob that will work

Which heat/ vent buttons? Pic?

We have remote on the FBH (L322) and am sure it needs a receiver think it uses the same 1 as the gps.

To fit now, I don’t know but somebody will be along soon to help

I have noticed on the timed climate page on the screen there are two darkened "switches" below the time setting boxes, they have never chnaged in the whole week I have owned the L322.

Not sure what they are don’t go into the screen as we have the remote.

will have a look which ones are “ grayed” out pic.

Yes. It works via time settings

Ah. I misunderstood what you were asking.

I had an LR button FBH controller on my D3. It used an electronic circuit which connected to the headlights and FBH. The 3rd button was used to flash the headlights. This was detected by the electronic circuit, and fired up the FBH for 30 minutes in response.

I think LR make a more elaborate system which works on a GSM sim card, but not 100% sure.

No. I don't believe LR do anything like that as standard, using the remote fob.

I bought it from a clever chap on the D3 forum, who made a small number of these controller circuit boards.

I think if you search the D3/4 forum you can programme the D4 timed climate etc with an iid tool.

I have the Webasto oval timer on my D3, previously I had the 3rd button, but that requires you to be near the car to activate it.

ok looked today and yes I have those buttons too............. yep they greyed out too

I did wonder if you had to have the ignistion key in a certain position for them to work, But they do not seem to work at any time on my 2011 rr.
