You'll need to find 2 special wires that tap off the FBH multi-plug. 1 wire is used to trigger the FBH remotely, and the other takes the control signal from the FBH ECU to the fan relay. I got mine from the D3 forum owner, as it's a popular mode on the D3 too. I meant to do it to my D3 but never got round to it, so the wires I had. I think they were about £5, but that was 6 or 7 years ago now.

I'll also look out the wiring modifications for the FL. It took me a while to make it work, but I wanted it to be easy and reversible, as it's all done at the fuse panel.
